Matthew 6:24. The Bible teaches us that we cannot serve two masters (Matthew 6:24, "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."). We either serve God or serve sin (things not of God). We cannot choose to serve both. If we love God, we will hate sin. If we love sin, we will hate God.
